Clarkson Grain Company is pleased to welcome Ken Dallmier as its new President/Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Dallmier’s main responsibilities will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company while developing growth strategies to move Clarkson into the next generation of agriculture. He brings a unique entrepreneurial spirit to his new position that has been the foundation of Clarkson since its beginning in 1974.
“We are very fortunate to have Ken join our company,” said Lynn Clarkson, founder and owner of Clarkson. “He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in developing, producing and marketing corn and soybean varieties, including Non-GMO varieties. His long career in agriculture began with his family’s food-grade seed company and advanced to senior management positions with progressive, global agricultural companies.”
Mr. Dallmier held management positions with Syngenta Seed, Inc. and Sturdy Grow Hybrids, Inc. where he led the complex process of developing new corn and soy varieties, and managed commercial trait introductions to the North American seed market. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President for Strategic Partnerships with Agrible, Inc., an agriculture predictive analytics company based in Champaign, Illinois. Mr. Dallmier holds a Ph.D. in plant breeding and cytogenetics from Iowa State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural science from the University of Illinois.
Clarkson is an Illinois-based grain, oilseed, and ingredient supplier to the food manufacturing and animal feed industries. It specializes in the growing, storage and processing of identity-preserved, Non-GMO, Certified Organic and Certified Transitional corn, soybeans, soy ingredients and dry beans. Clarkson works with growers throughout the United States and Canada to offer corn and soybean varieties to global manufacturers.
