The Red Flint Choice
We offer several red flint hybrids. They display very hard pericarp
surrounding a soft, starch endosperm. Normally their color seems
more orange than red despite the common name “Red Flint”.
Europeans favor them for making cereals.
We provide samples of hybrids to test in your plant or at a preferred
lab. From those tests, we select hybrids that work best for you.
Since hybrid choice determines perhaps 70% of cooking characteristics,
we avoid blending and typically supply our clients their entire supply
from a single variety.
